If polar bears are indeed swimming greater distances to find ice islands and some are drowning out of exhaustion, couldn't we find a way to create some artificial floating islands as a temporary measure to keep them from extinction? At this point don't we know their routes and habitats enough to provide this?
I don't know the logistics involved, it's just an idea. I wonder if the oil companies for instance would consider this a good thing to do to-they certainly have the resources. This seems like such an urgent thing to do. We really don't know how every animal species are part of the food chain that ultimately helps our survival, but it is a good bet that polar have much significance in that equation. |

I have encountered a sense of hopelessness in young people who are aware of climate change and believe our potential of addressing the dangers in time barely exists. The same goes with environmental educators, scientists and media representatives who report consistently on the environment. Has anyone else found this to be true? |

Back in the 1970's, we were told that global cooling is taking effect, now we are told global warming is taking effect. Which is it? The major portions of the US and the southern hemisphere cooled down in the last 12 months. The 'MEDIA' never covered this story, because they are drinking the Al Gore 'Kool Aid'! |

This one time, at band camp, Global Warming burned me after I spent all day swimming at the mud beach. It caused a rash in my armpits and I couldn't participate when the rest of the violin team played "Dark Side of the Moon"! Damned Global cooling, errr Ozone Layer, errr Global Warming, errr, Climate Change, What are we calling it this year? |

I love seeing birds, but would like them to come at the right time of year. |
